HOW CAN I PAY FOR AN ITEM?

There are three methods available to pay for the goods you wish to buy.

The simplest and fastest option is to pay using the Paypal or Stripe gateway with a debit or credit card.

If you do not wish to use the Paypal or Stripe you can pay by cheque. If you choose this method please email me at [email protected]  to let me know what you wish to purchase so I can remove the goods from the online shop. Please also include your address and the delivery address, if different, so I can get the parcel ready to post. Please send the cheque, made payable to Susan Thompson, to Susie Thompson, 3 Lochaber, Charlestown, Fife, KY11 3EQ, to arrive within 7 days. As soon as you cheque has cleared your parcel will be posted by Royal Mail First Class Signed For.

The third method would be to pay by bank transfer. If you wish to use this method please email me at [email protected] with your request, or use the website form on the contact page.  Let me know what you wish to buy, so I can remove it from the online shop, your address and delivery address if different, and I will let you have my bank details for the transfer of funds. Once payment has been made your parcel will be posted by Royal Mail.

HOW LONG WILL DELIVERY TAKE?

I aim to process orders the same day, or following morning, that I get the email notification, and try to have the item posted the following day.  Orders paid by bank transfer or cheque may take longer. Standard free delivery 2-3 days extra, Upgrade to First Class delivery 1-2 days extra, International delivery 7-12 days extra.

IS YOUR WORK PRINTED?

No, all of the work is hand painted, one piece at a time. The silk is stretched on a frame and the dyes are applied with a selection of small brushes. Each piece is time consuming and truly unique.

WHAT KIND OF SILK DO YOU USE?

I use a variety of 100% pure silk fabrics that come from China.

CHIFFON is the finest.It is floaty and transparent. It is a classic lightweight silk with an even weave.                                                                    GEORGETTE is a smoother transluscent crepe silk, twice as thick as chiffon, but still a lightweight silk.                                                              PONGE is a lightweight, floaty silk with a close weave and has a lovely sheen.                                                                                                    HABOTAI has a similar flat weave as ponge. I use a medium or heavy weight habotai that has a plain, close weave and a lovely luxurious feel.  TWILL is a lovely, tightly woven soft silk with a diagonal weave. I use a medium weight twill that drapes very nicely.                                        CREPE DE CHINE is a luxurious silk that has very good draping qualities. It comes as light, medium and heavy weight. It has a matt effect and a really pleasing lustre.

From all around me, I love nature and it's tiny details and the vast expanses of wilderness and hidden gems of this beautiful country. In fact anything that I am Interested in or involved in can spark an idea and I have designs running through my head nearly all the time.
