This is a very well known view on the journey northwards on the west coast and one that is photographed a fair bit I imagine. The expectation and excitement of the journey's destination and the fun to be had are hard to contain. But it is always worth stopping for a short break to really take in the beautiful landscapes of this part of the world. Ullapool lies in the distance and on the west shore of Loch Broom the crofts and whitewashed cottages are reflected brilliantly in the calm, mirror surface water. An abundance of wildflowers include red clover, marsh thistle and hawkweed. This is a pale, subtly coloured scarf with a wonderful lustre
